MEET MIKE SIGLER

A 14-year Tompkins County Legislator, Mike Sigler lives in Lansing with his wife Sarah and daughters. Mike moved to Upstate NY 25 years ago for a job in television and has spent the last 20 years at Park Outdoor Advertising.  After 9/11 Mike decided to enter public service with a run for Assembly and then the Tompkins County Legislature. While serving his neighbors in the County Legislature, Mike also works for Park Outdoor Advertising, a job which has taken him into hundreds of businesses in our community. As a result, Mike uniquely understands the infrastructure, tax, labor, inflation, and bureaucratic challenges facing Broome, Cortland, and Tompkins Counties.

Mike, his wife and family have roots stretching back five generations in Upstate NY. They have hiked throughout the Finger Lakes, toured in their 1974 VW bus, and enjoy the dozens of festivals in the area. Mike has been in Rotary and served on the Chamber of Commerce board and as a member of the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency. An active hunter and private pilot, Mike earned his bachelors from Northeastern University and his Masters in Journalism from Columbia University.
